Looking at the faces of these children today, celebrating Singapore’s birthday, you can’t help but have the sense of belonging to the country. As young as 3 years old, waving the national flag, they sang at the top of their voices, “This is My Country.” They are the faces of Singapore another 44 years down the track. Their enthusiasm and gung-ho spirit in celebrating National Day confirms that Singapore will make it. All doubts about Singapore’s future seem to just melt away when you hear and see the way they celebrate. Children are just full of life.
