Children Across Cultures

Children are children no matter which culture they are from. They love to eat. They love to play. They are curious. They are energetic. I was visiting a school in a small rural town in Indonesia. I find that the kids here are no different from the kids in Singapore in terms of their childhood characteristics. Teachers here and the teachers in Singapore have the same task of teaching and nurturing them. The teaching methods may not be the same but the task is - to get them going with their 3 R's, reading, writing, arithmetic.
