Did you know that according to Chinese mythology, all the banging of cymbals and drums and the fire crackers are meant to scare away the monster on the Lunar New Year? The children had fun re-enacting it during class.
The usual way of celebrating the Lunar New Year is to bring on the food. Food that are palatable to the taste buds of the young and old. But consumed too much of it will lead to a visit to the doctor.
