Celebrating Teachers

What can young children do to make Teachers' Day fun for their teachers? It is impossible for 3-6 year olds to organise and execute a Teachers' Day party. So with a little help from the adults, namely a parent (and the teachers too) we had a unique Teachers' Day party.

We had 3 different recipes for a great party. The pre-nursery and nursery kids decorated (and ate) cookies sprinkled with colourful sugary stars and chocolates. The K1 kids popped some corns and mixed them up with marshmellows that were cooked in butter and pink colouring. The K2 kids made cocoa and dipped Mamee into them and decorated them so they looked like wiggley monsters.

Everyone had great fun. The children got to eat what they love and the teachers learned new recipes. It was a great Teachers' Day celebration at Chen Li Kindergarten.

The finale of the day was the Teachers' Day lunch. We ate exquisite, aromatic European food.
